![]() ![]() ![]() When we last encountered him in the Shadowlands pre-patch, he seemed content in defeat, as death would lead him to the Shadowlands and back to Sylvanas. Nathanos Blightcaller, Sylvanas' most-loyal ally, has also been surrounded in mystery recently. And thinking back to the Battle for Azeroth Warbringers cinematics, we've already fought two of the protagonists, Jaina and Azshara, who have survived their encounters, so it makes sense that Sylvanas' story would also continue beyond the raid. Using language like "what's next for her" hints that she'll play a role in future patches, which makes sense as a long-awaited Sylvanas novel is on the horizon, which should provide much-needed context for her mysterious actions. “When we're contending with these major figures, characters who are at a power level such that no single adventurer could ever hope to stand against them, it's going to require the combined might of a Raid to push the narrative forward,” Ion says. Having Sylvanas show up as the final boss in 9.1’s big Raid is something born from the nature of World of Warcraft’s biggest confrontations. And what's next for the Shadowlands as a whole.” And there is a combination that I can't spoil, but I am looking forward to seeing the community discuss and dissect as they try to figure out what's next for her. “It’s on a scale that exceeds the vast majority of what we've ever tried to pull off in past Raids. “The encounter that has been crafted at the end of the Raid - I think it's epic,” Ion continues. Sylvanas has gone through so many changes and been involved in so many major and sometimes shocking moments that her motivations and fate have become the thing of long and drawn out discussion amongst the WoW community. Sylvanas is one of those rare World of Warcraft characters whose history goes all the way back to the real-time strategy series, where she was first introduced in Warcraft III. “Getting the chance to face off against a figure of her stature, people are going in expecting a lot.” ![]() The Bow is not really worth reducing your item level, weapon damage, and attack power for a hit or miss active ability.“It’s a heavy burden on the shoulders of our narrative team, of our encounter designers, to deliver something that's been years and years and multiple expansions in the making,” World of Warcraft Game Director Ion Hazzikostas says. If you already have a 252 from M+ or from Mythic raiding but are struggling to get her bow on lower difficulties I would honestly suggest you not bother unless you are more fixated on the transmog/ achievement. The bow is not as significant of an increase as you might think and this comes from a decent amount of testing. On AOE it has the POTENTIAL to have much more value but is more or less entirely dependent on crits and the number of enemies hit by its piss poor area of effect. On single target WA doesn’t really add much value compared to another weapon with similar stats and higher item level. WA is really only out of this world when it crits. Even with all that set up there is a chance targets won’t be crit. In the case of BM you will want to activate Bestial Wrath prior to casting WA. Both have a one minute CD and you want to use Resonating arrow fallowed by Wailing arrow. Picking Kyrian instead any of the other 3 the Bows ability gains value due to the straightforward line up. It has potential don’t get me wrong but its value is largely determined by target count and sadly covenant choice. On the topic of the Bow the ability is not quite as powerful as some people make it out to be. These Tusks where whole heartedly worth trying to fenagle you set bonus along with hit and expertise caps so you could equip these beastly shoulders. Just want to point out the Tusks where NOT cosmetic and came with 3 prismatic sockets which was nuts and gave a prim stat socket bonus. ![]()
